STRAWBERRY BLONDE WITH STYLE

▎❝ Finds under 40: fall in love with autumn savings. ❞

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared some finds under 40 and here we are! This week’s post will feature items that I bought from Amazon this fall for under $40. As we continue, please keep in mind that I specifically purchased outfits to wear as a set. I will make sure that they’re ordered properly so you can shop the full look if you see something you like and want to give it a try! Feel free to snatch this style formula for yourself especially if you’re in search of fashionable, yet comfortable clothing.

My style has had to evolve a great deal in the last few months due to my ongoing health journey with endometriosis. As I near another surgery, the abdominal discomfort makes it miserable to wear anything but stretchy or elastic pants around my waist. For someone who loves her jeans and has been known to wear a pair of leather pants, this transition has been difficult. My biggest fear is having to sacrifice my sense of style and personal identity at the alter of the cult of comfort clothing—it’s not happening!

All is not lost! Recently I’ve entered my palazzo pant era and rediscovered my love of plaid just in time for the holidays! As I’ve become more committed to dopamine dressing than ever to keep my spirits high and and continuing to cultivate a painless, fashion forward new look, many new doors to seasonal style have opened right before my eyes. Don’t worry, I’ll happily share everything below!

Paisley Palazzos

When I first started my search, I found these very trendy palazzo pants on Amazon for sale at $14.99. Even at their ordinary price $17.99, they’re still well below our $40 limit. I bought these pants in “Boho Red” and “Black Print” but basically the two paisley options. Obviously the solid colors could also be worn all season but I was specifically choosing pants that I felt captured the essence of autumn.

They are the perfect length, fit well, and have just enough stretch without looking like an untailored mess. Admittedly, it can be difficult to find a palazzo pant print that doesn’t scream spring or summer but I felt like these were absolutely perfect for fall. Honestly, these are some of my favorite pairs of pants now and I always get complimented when I wear them.

Classy Knit Cardigan

Going into fall, I knew I needed a sweater. Believe it or not, I don’t have that many to choose from. I went with classic black knowing it’d go with most things including my quilted flap bag from this earlier post. The one that I purchased was $12.99 and I will link it here even though it says it’s no longer available. Maybe it’ll come back up in the future!

I suggest browsing Amazon to find a comparable sweater that suits your needs. If you really like mine, I found this similar one currently on sale in the same price range as mine from Zeagoo for $16.99. Ordinarily it is $38.99 which still puts it under our $40 limit. Prettygarden also has a more expensive one here that’s $39.99—down to the penny! I will say that cardigans like this are not only a timeless style staple but a perfect neutral addition to almost any outfit. In my opinion, it is worth the investment.

Racerback & Ribbed

Given that my part of the world experiences many temperature changes throughout autumn, I decided to go with some mock neck tank tops to wear beneath my new knit cardigan. I also wanted to find a brand selling multiple colors of the same shirt so that all I had to do was match the colors to my pants and go about my business. It’s just so much easier when you don’t have to keep guessing about size or fit—just buy the rainbow.

I purchased these shirts on sale for $11.04. Their regular price is $12.99 which puts them well into our budget. As my new go to tops, I got the white one to wear with my black and white pants and the red one to wear with my red boho printed pants. I also snatched a few other colors to match to the rest of the pants that I got. These are comfortable, they are breathable, they are layerable, and I like the mock neck that’s higher than a traditional tank top but not fully a mock turtleneck. This makes them perfect for transitional seasons and warmer than other tops without being sweltering.

Groovy Floral Flares

Listen here, I said we would be dopamine dressing and you don’t get more high than these pants, let me tell you! I found these elastic high waisted orange floral bell bottom pants on Amazon for $19.99. They were so loud I could practically hear them ringing my doorbell when they were delivered but that’s just how I like my pants. Upon first sight, my mom had flashbacks of the 70’s. It was glorious.

These are really comfortable and while they are not light weight, they are also not as heavy as they seem like they would be—if that makes sense. They are a little long on me but with a nice block heel, it’s nothing to worry about. This brand sells other patterns and colors so trust and believe I’ll be getting some more especially as we head into spring. Run, don’t walk to get a pair of these but don’t trip on your bell bottoms!

Tank Topped Off

Even though I said above that I would be getting all of the ribbed tank tops to go with my pants, there was a pair that I got that didn’t match any of the tanks that I’d already purchased. Given this new information, I decided to try another style. These high neck tank tops were comparable to the others for $17.99. I got the burgundy one to go with a pair of my plaid pants but the color was off so I ended up wearing it with our groovy friends we talked about earlier.

It was a perfect match! I got many compliments when I wore that outfit and would definitely recommend. Though this brand of tank tops doesn’t come in as many colors as the ones listed earlier, they are really cute and I like that they’re a little longer. They also have prints if you’d prefer to switch it up and wear a solid pant with a printed top! Whatever works for you, babe!

Pretty in Plaid

I found myself craving plaid as the weather started to get colder and the pants I found are the perfect remedy! The pants I found are from Shop My Trend on Amazon. They are $9.99 with a $4.99 delivery fee. I wish they would’ve calculated the shipping into the cost of the pants but I guess that’s just my opinion. I just feel like I’m getting ripped off if I have to pay shipping fees from the Amazon now, you know? Shipping fees are for the peasantry.

Now, I love these pants but as the reviews say, they are tall girl friendly. I can concur and will need to get them hemmed though I’ve been wearing them anyway. They are very long. The only way I’m able to wear them comfortably is with a bit of a heel and pulling them up so they’re high waisted which actually works really well with cropped sweaters but on the off chance you’re under 5’8 and wearing them with a flat shoe, God help you. All of that being said, they are comfortable, stretchy, and really cute.

As you can see from my blog image I got the mustard plaid, taupe burgundy plaid, and am planning to get the blue plaid pair. They’re just cute to throw on for winter with a sweater. We love them, they’re just long.

Peony Blush Crush

This next item has nothing to do with fall or autumn or anything else on theme, I just like to smell good and share what I find to do so. I got this Peony Blush Bodycology body spray for $4.97 and it was worth every scent—get it? I’ll be honest and admit that I thought it might smell cheap but for $4, I was willing to risk it. To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be a drastic understatement. I was bordering on flabbergasted.

This does not smell cheap and is actually one of my new favorite body sprays. It ranks up there with the likes of Bath and Body Works for a fraction of the cost. For the price, I felt like it deserves an honorable mention here since I bought it at the same time as the rest of my things. I had just enough left in my budget to get it. It smells so beautiful and fresh without being too sweet or overpowering. I would definitely recommend as a stocking stuffer for you and a friend.

Last Call

As we wrap up another shopping post, I would just like to thank you once again for making it this far and reading my blog. Not only do I love finding good deals for myself but this platform has given me an opportunity to share those finds with others and there’s just something so magical about that!

I hope that you found at least one item that you’d like to try and as always, if you like this type of content, let me know! With the holidays coming, I feel it’s all the more important to save however we can and I’m happy to help you do that wherever I can. Happy fall and stay warm as the days grow shorter and the sales grow longer!

Disclaimer: sometimes prices change and I can only account for the prices I see for an item at the time. The prices I’ve posted here as the “regular price” are the current prices listed at the time of this article’s publishing. I will try to check back and update it in the future if need be.
